Diocese of Nzekokere has a population of 64 diocesan priests who are coming from almost all the 5 deaneries. Some priests are serving in parishes whilst others are doing their studies in foreign countries like Kenya, USA, Benin and Italy. Right in Malawi the majority of priests are managing institutions and serving in parishes, with a little others studying in local tertially institutions.
The world today is faced with decrease in numbers of vocations, especially the vocation to priesthood. Nevertheless a priest and his vocation are gifts worthy being proud and celebrating for, however there is a more reason to celebrate with the whole church since its a gift to individuals but the Church. We therefore join the Lord’s servants on their memorable days in pray. Though a priest is entitled to say mass daily, the mass is the very first thing that a priest will ask of you among all other things.
